Role summary
Elecbits is hiring an experienced Quality Management System professional to oversee quality-system activities in an EMS manufacturing setup. The role calls for someone who can independently manage customer-facing audits, supplier evaluations, internal audits, process documentation, and compliance practices aligned with automotive as well as international quality requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Own and coordinate QMS activities across the manufacturing floor and related functions.
- Plan, manage, and close customer audits, supplier audits, and internal audits.
- Ensure day-to-day adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and EMS quality procedures.
- Create, update, and improve SOPs, work instructions, quality manuals, process documents, and related records.
- Lead corrective action efforts, root-cause analysis, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Track compliance around traceability, ESD controls, FIFO practices, calibration, and documentation control.
- Work closely with production, stores, engineering, procurement, and customer quality teams.
- Support launch of new processes and meet automotive customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure findings are addressed within committed timelines.
- Train cross-functional teams on QMS practices and quality expectations.
Required profile
- At least 5 years of relevant QMS experience in EMS or electronics manufacturing.
- Proven ability to manage automotive and customer audits independently.
- Strong understanding of EMS manufacturing processes and quality management systems.
- Practical knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IPC standards, document control, CAPA, and process auditing.
- Experience preparing and maintaining procedures, manuals, and quality records.
- Strong analytical ability along with solid documentation and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Certification as an internal auditor is preferred.
- Training or certification in QMS, IATF, or ISO 9001 is an added advantage.
- Exposure to automotive OEM or Tier-1 customers will be beneficial.
