Responsibilities

  • Keep regional IT operations running smoothly across all sites, including end-user support, hardware and accessories, asset management, IT asset disposition, print services, and event support.
  • Create, implement, and maintain regional IT policies, procedures, and operating standards that align with corporate governance.
  • Work with Security, Facilities, Workplace, Finance, and HR to support office expansions, relocations, and remodels with minimal disruption.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of full-time regional IT professionals, including performance reviews and career development support.
  • Provide technical direction and escalation support to full-time and contract staff so complex issues are resolved quickly.
  • Plan workforce capacity, staffing, and team development to meet current and future needs.
  • Design and execute regional IT strategies that support global goals, growth, and modernization efforts.
  • Lead IT initiatives, upgrades, and technical improvements across multiple locations.
  • Assess technology options, recommend tools, and promote best practices such as ITIL and security frameworks.
  • Use AI and automation to improve efficiency and lower cost-to-serve.
  • Set up and maintain disaster recovery, security, and data protection practices across the region.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance requirements such as GDPR, corporate controls such as SOX, and internal audit expectations.
  • Serve as the main IT contact for APAC business stakeholders across India, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and Japan.
  • Share regular service health and performance updates with senior leadership.
  • Own vendor and managed service provider performance, contracts, renewals, SLA negotiations, and ongoing improvement.
  • Prepare and manage the regional IT budget while forecasting and optimizing future spend.
  • Recommend cost-effective technology choices that support scale and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 7 years of management experience in IT operations or multi-site technology leadership.
  • At least 5 years of experience using IT service management and support ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Zendesk.
  • At least 2 years of experience handling regional or multi-site IT budgets.
  • At least 1 year of management experience, or at least 1 year of staff-level engineering experience combined with management training.
  • Preferred: 10+ years of management experience in IT operations or multi-site technology leadership.
  • Preferred: Proven improvement in CSAT, employee NPS for IT, MTTR, and SLA achievement while reducing service costs.
  • Preferred: Experience designing, deploying, or running AI and automation tools for support, such as intelligent triage, copilots, conversational self-service, or agentic IT.
  • Preferred: Experience managing managed service provider and vendor ecosystems.
  • Preferred: Experience planning office moves involving IT-owned devices.
  • Preferred: Ability to stay strategic while remaining hands-on.
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with modern identity solutions.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of APAC data protection and compliance rules.
