About the Role

Farm Boy is seeking a Meat Cutter in Barrie, Ontario to help create a fresh, welcoming shopping experience through skilled meat preparation and strong customer interaction. What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, confident, and attentive service to customers in line with Farm Boy’s service approach.
• Greet shoppers, answer questions, and share product knowledge in a helpful and enthusiastic way.
• Cut and prepare meats for the service case while maintaining high presentation and quality standards.
• Pack, replenish, and rotate products in counters and shelves to keep items fresh and well displayed.
• Keep workspaces, storage areas, and equipment clean and orderly by carrying out housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
• Follow company rules and procedures, with emphasis on health and safety, food safety, HACCP compliance, and proper equipment handling.
• Support training and coaching of team members in the Meat Cutter development program.
• Complete opening and closing duties and assist other team members when required.
• Help the leadership team with operational tasks such as inventory checks and supply orders.
• Take on other department duties as needed from time to time.

What You Bring

• Strong interest in delivering excellent and engaging customer service.
• 1 to 3 years of related experience in a similar role, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Ability to work on your own while maintaining high standards for quality, detail, and cleanliness.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and a cooperative, team-focused attitude.
• Comfort working in a busy environment with multiple deadlines and high service expectations.
• Ability to handle long periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, protective gear use, and cold working conditions.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong English communication skills; French is an advantage.
