Operations Analyst - Contract

Role Summary

A financial services client is looking for an enthusiastic Operations Analyst to support a high-performing team. The position sits in a fast-moving trading-floor environment and involves working with institutional clients such as corporations, financial institutions, and fund managers. The work covers transaction support, client service, control functions, and collaboration across sales, trading, compliance, and prime brokerage.

The role is centered on accurate processing of complex financial products, strengthening controls, improving workflow efficiency, and supporting both operational and reputational risk management. It also provides exposure to banking, sales and trading, asset management, and firmwide risk initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will coordinate with Sales, Trading, Compliance, and Operations teams to resolve issues and ensure legal confirmations are completed on time.

You will help shape technology and workflow improvements that make execution more efficient and reduce risk exposure.

You will support reporting on compliance metrics, preparation of presentations, and broader risk management initiatives across the firm.

You will look for recurring compliance gaps, help improve turnaround times, and ensure trade booking and economics are recorded correctly.

You will handle exceptions quickly, maintain process discipline, and provide responsive service to trading desks and clients.

You will also contribute to redesigning operational workflows across the trade lifecycle and help ensure alignment with market practices and regulatory expectations.

Candidate Profile

The employer is seeking a graduate with a background in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

Applicants should have 0 to 1 year of experience. Internship exposure or entry-level experience in finance, banking, or related financial services is preferred.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with technology, strong in analysis and problem-solving, and able to work well with multiple teams.

Attention to detail, accuracy, risk awareness, strong prioritization, and the ability to manage several tasks in a busy environment are important.

A curious mindset and willingness to learn complex financial instruments are also valued.
