Role overview

Scion Staffing is hiring a Recruiter to join a growing, high-performing recruiting organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, goal-oriented environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and is motivated by delivering excellent service. The position is fully remote, exempt, and available for immediate start. Candidates must be based in one of the organization’s core states and work within CST or PST: California, Illinois, Minnesota, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Washington, or Wisconsin.

The Recruiter will partner with the Division Leader and other team members to help expand the firm’s temporary and direct-hire placement business. The ideal candidate brings proven full-cycle recruiting experience across sourcing, interviewing, testing, and submitting candidates for a range of roles including administrative, labor, human resources, finance, medical, and management positions. Success in this role also depends on strong relationship-building skills, business judgment, and creative approaches to talent acquisition. The firm works with national brands, nonprofits, universities, and growing businesses.

Key responsibilities

  • Source, interview, and place candidates as part of a collaborative recruiting team.
  • Use Bullhorn ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools to design creative strategies for attracting qualified talent.
  • Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews with a wide and varied candidate pool.
  • Evaluate applicants by reviewing background, experience, technical skills, and interpersonal strengths in detail.
  • Recruit for client assignments including temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire roles.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and clients, while also preparing candidates with coaching and interview guidance.
  • Stay in contact after placement and handle client or candidate concerns promptly and professionally while protecting confidentiality and maintaining high service standards.
  • Build and maintain a sourcing pipeline using job boards, social networks, newsgroups, and other online channels.
  • Meet billing expectations tied to success in the role.
  • Assess potential client opportunities through intake conversations.
  • Research job requirements, qualifications, work settings, and company culture before proceeding with opportunities.
  • Act as a primary contact for staffing clients and deliver responsive, high-quality support.
  • Help grow the client portfolio by presenting staffing services for temporary, contract, interim, and direct-hire needs.
  • Represent the firm at networking events to strengthen visibility in the local business community.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and learning events to stay current on industry and hiring trends.
  • Use Bullhorn ATS to track candidates, maintain notes, review applications, and manage scheduling.
  • Handle email communication with clients, candidates, and colleagues using Outlook online.
  • Prepare detailed candidate presentations for client review.
  • Draft job descriptions for posting on Bullhorn and external job boards.
  • Coordinate with operations and administrative staff on onboarding, reference checks, and background checks.

Candidate profile

  • At least 2–3 years of staffing or agency recruiting experience with a demonstrated record of success in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfort working remotely while consistently driving toward performance goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Sharp attention to detail and good judgment when evaluating culture fit.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Prior exposure to applicant tracking systems, job boards, and online networking tools; Bullhorn experience is a plus.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to groups and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently.
  • Interest in modern recruiting practices and familiarity with human resources topics such as employment law, compensation, and benefits.
  • Strong self-drive, ambition, and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and alignment with a mission-driven workplace.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in one of the listed core states and be available for immediate hire.

Compensation and benefits

For recruiters with two to three years of experience, average total compensation is typically $80,000 to $100,000, with further earning potential based on performance and tenure.

  • Fully employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage.
  • 80 hours of fully paid parental leave.
  • 11 paid holidays.
  • Generous PTO, paid wellness days, paid volunteer days, and a paid birthday off.
  • 401(k) plan with employer contribution.
  • Monthly cell phone and internet stipend, totaling close to $1,000 annually.
  • Fully remote work with opportunities for virtual team connection.
