Role overview
The Data Entry Specialist role is a fully remote position supporting CareMetx’s patient-access and reimbursement services. Working under the direction of a supervisor and manager, the person in this role helps serve external partners such as product manufacturers, physicians, patients, and internal teams while contributing to operational efficiency and the company’s productivity goals.
Key responsibilities
- Keep information flowing accurately and on time for a wide range of stakeholders.
- Receive and process program-related correspondence, including mail and incoming faxed documents.
- Enter data into the correct system and route program mail to the appropriate reimbursement case advocate, reimbursement specialist, or management contact.
- Support payer research and manage territory assignments as needed.
- Assist with incoming call volume when required.
- Prepare and share daily reports with the relevant distribution vendors and internal reimbursement teams.
- Maintain a courteous, professional working relationship with colleagues and managers.
- Follow all applicable program policies and procedures.
- Handle moderately complex issues by reviewing relevant factors and applying judgment within standard operating procedures.
- Work with limited day-to-day supervision and follow general direction for new tasks.
- Carry out other related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a customer service or healthcare setting.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Good computer and application proficiency.
- Strong people skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Excellent organization and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Comfort adapting to changing situations and new processes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends when business needs require it.
- Availability for occasional overtime.

The role may involve long periods of sitting. It may also occasionally require lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. The work environment is generally moderate in noise level.
