About the opportunity
Rocky Bay is seeking a permanent full-time Safeguarding Advisor in Perth, Western Australia. The role offers hybrid flexibility and sits within a purpose-led not-for-profit organisation focused on helping customers reach their goals and achieve positive outcomes.
Role overview
Reporting to the Safeguards Business Partner, you will take ownership of monitoring, reporting on, investigating and responding to quality and safeguarding concerns. You will also support improvements to policies and procedures connected to restrictive practices and safeguarding, while providing guidance to the wider business in these areas.
Key accountabilities
- Track, review and report on quality and safeguarding issues.
- Investigate safeguarding matters and respond to safeguarding complaints.
- Support updates and improvements to safeguarding and restrictive practice policies and procedures.
- Advise internal stakeholders on safeguarding-related matters.
- Prepare written reports for senior leaders and other stakeholders.
Candidate profile
The preferred applicant will bring experience from disability, health or community services settings, along with strong communication, presentation and influencing skills. You should be comfortable producing clear written reports, have a sharp eye for detail, and be able to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders. Experience with service delivery and quality systems is important, and a high degree of integrity, self-awareness and professionalism is expected. Intermediate to advanced capability in MS PowerPoint and Excel is also required.
Desirable experience
- Prior exposure to reporting safeguarding matters to the NDIS.
- Background in investigating safeguarding incidents and managing safeguarding complaints.
