Role Overview
This position is for a motivated Sales Development Representative to join a founding sales development team in the Asia-Pacific region. It is an early-in-team opportunity with real influence over the company’s outbound motion, customer success approach, product feedback loop, and revenue growth. The role suits someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building systems, working with prospects, and contributing to how a sales organization takes shape.
What You Will Do
- Create and develop a strong outbound sales engine aimed at enterprise accounts.
- Use data and market indicators to decide who to contact first and how to tailor the outreach.
- Connect with prospects through phone, email, and professional networking channels to introduce the product.
- Test new ways of reaching and engaging potential customers.
- Meet with prospective clients to learn about their goals and business pain points.
- Help design playbooks and define the team’s sales approach.
- Own lead-generation methods and the strategy behind them.
- Understand the product deeply enough to demo it in a way that fits different customer personas.
- Evaluate prospects to determine whether they are a strong match for the business.
- Record detailed notes and identify buying intent and other signals.
- Work with cross-functional teams on performance initiatives, product launches, and service improvements.
- Partner closely with Account Executives to support revenue goals.
- Keep the customer’s needs at the center of every interaction.
Required Background and Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in sales or sales development, ideally in SaaS, technology, or another fast-growing environment.
- Hands-on experience with cold calling decision-makers.
- A strong record of achievement, including meeting or exceeding targets in past roles.
- The ability to communicate in a compelling, customer-focused way, with empathy and clear storytelling.
- Genuine enthusiasm for speaking with customers and exploring their needs in depth.
- Interest in using AI tools to work more efficiently and produce better outcomes, even without being an AI specialist.
