Senior Specialist Engineer (Electrical)

Role overview

This position is for an experienced electrical hardware design professional who will lead design efforts for industrial machinery and electromechanical products. The role involves guiding a team, taking ownership of electrical engineering projects, and ensuring designs move smoothly from early concept to production release.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support a team of electrical hardware design engineers to help deliver projects successfully.
• Create, refine, and improve electrical hardware systems for industrial equipment and electromechanical products.
• Take charge of electrical engineering work across the full project lifecycle, from concept development to production.
• Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and bills of materials.
• Carry out electrical calculations, component sizing, and hardware selection for machine control applications.
• Choose and standardize switchgear, drives, and protection devices from major manufacturers such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Allen-Bradley.
• Develop and maintain electrical documentation using AutoCAD, EPLAN P8, and PLM systems.
• Work closely with teams in mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, project management, installation, and commissioning to ensure complete system integration.
• Make sure designs follow relevant international electrical standards, safety rules, and certifications, including CE and UL.
• Identify opportunities for design enhancement, value engineering, and cost reduction in existing hardware solutions.
• Review designs, perform technical assessments, resolve engineering issues, and contribute to product validation.
• Keep technical records, engineering reports, design change logs, and project progress updates well organized.
• Support installation, commissioning, customer site visits, and field troubleshooting when needed.

Eligibility

Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electronics.
