Station Manager (m/w/d)

Role overview

As Station Manager at roadsurfer in Hamburg, you will help build and run the local station at Appelhoff 3, 22309 Hamburg. The role combines operational leadership, team development, customer advising, fleet oversight, and ongoing process improvement in a fast-growing international environment.

What you will do

• Work with central departments and your local team to develop the station and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
• Implement current operational standards and improve them further, including ideas for vehicle handovers and returns.
• Collaborate closely with roadsurfer teams in other countries and help refine processes across locations.
• Lead your team with empathy, clear communication, and a supportive style that creates clarity, encourages performance, and enables growth.
• Support recruiting efforts and help build a team of people who share your enthusiasm.
• Oversee the vehicle fleet, make sure it remains in good condition, and coordinate with local service partners.
• Advise customers on roadsurfer products such as myroadsurfer, abo, spots, and rent so they can enjoy a positive experience.

What you need

• A completed vocational qualification, a relevant degree, or an equivalent background.
• At least 1–2 years of professional experience, ideally in car rental, tourism, or a similar field; career changers are welcome.
• Initial experience in team leadership is an advantage, but the most important thing is your ability to communicate empathetically and create an environment where people can work independently.
• Strong customer focus and a friendly, open manner.
• A practical, solution-driven approach to work.
• Very good German and English skills.
• Driving licence class B.

Compensation

The annual gross salary for this role is between EUR 39,000 and EUR 44,000. The company uses salary bands to ensure fair treatment, and your final placement within the range will be discussed during the hiring process based on your skills and experience. Your salary is reviewed at least once a year in a yearly feedback meeting.
