Role overview
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is a leading pediatric clinical and academic health system focused on caring for infants, children, and teens with highly complex medical needs. The organization is recognized in several specialties by U.S. News & World Report and provides advanced treatments and therapies. As a major teaching hospital with more than half of its 259 beds dedicated to intensive care-level services, it serves as the regional pediatric referral center for Florida’s west coast.

Primary function
This role is responsible for preparing surgical instruments and related supplies for safe clinical reuse. Duties include examining, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing instrument sets, as well as operating washing and sterilization equipment. The position also involves readying supplies for both steam sterilization and low-temperature sterilization processes.
Minimum qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in instrument processing is mandatory.
- One of the following certifications is required: CBSPD, HSPA, or IAHCSMM.
Shift and schedule
Working hours are 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
The hospital may adjust employee schedules when operational needs require it.
Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $19.02 to $30.44. Final compensation will align with experience and internal equity for roles of similar scope and responsibility. If a range is shown as $0 in any system, pay details will be discussed during screening before any later compensation conversation with hiring leadership.
