About the organisation
Community Solutions Group works to improve people’s lives by helping them pursue their goals and move toward greater independence. The organisation provides a wide range of services that support the wellbeing and independence of individuals, families, and communities across Queensland, Victoria, and New South Wales.
About the role
Community Solutions is seeking an NDIS Support Coordinator for a permanent full-time position based in Gympie. The role focuses on helping NDIS participants build independence by understanding their individual needs, connecting them with suitable services, and coordinating support so they can make the most of their NDIS plans. You will also work through barriers by developing practical action plans.
This is described as a full-time permanent work-from-home role in Gympie. The role also involves local travel as needed to meet participants.
Key duties
- Create strong working relationships with participants, their families, and external service providers.
- Visit participants when required and travel as part of the role.
- Support participants in discussions with providers about available services and the portion of their NDIS budget that may need to be allocated.
- Work to billable hours and performance targets.
- Ensure service agreements are properly completed.
- Take a broad, capacity-building approach that helps participants identify and work through obstacles.
What you will bring
- Hands-on experience with the NDIS and a solid understanding of NDIS plans and budgets.
- Experience working toward billing targets and producing case notes.
- Strong administrative ability, compliance awareness, and confident IT skills, especially in Excel.
- A personable approach, ideally with disability sector experience, and the ability to build trust with participants, families, and service providers.
- A commercial mindset paired with strong customer service focus.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
Benefits and perks
The role includes salary packaging that can increase take-home pay. Employees can package up to $15,900 of annual salary tax free, plus an extra $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses. There is also access to a novated lease style arrangement to buy a new or used car using pre-tax income, which can reduce both purchase and running costs. Additional benefits include discounts on corporate private health insurance, selected Kia vehicles, and Harvey Norman white goods, as well as discounted family gym memberships through Fitness Passport.
Team members receive a supportive induction, learning opportunities, 6 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary carer, free coaching and counselling through the Employee Assistance Program, and access to a Reward and Recognition Program.

Community Solutions welcomes applications from people of all ages, nationalities, abilities, and cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTQI+ applicants, and people with disability. The organisation is committed to making the recruitment process accessible and will adjust it to support applicant needs.
