Trading Analytics Developer, Quantitative Trading

Role overview

The Quant Trading group handles trading and risk management across spot and derivative crypto products. The team builds and runs strategies in a highly dynamic and demanding trading environment. In this position, you will help strengthen the team’s data and AI foundation by combining quantitative engineering with AI platform development. The work centers on creating dependable, scalable systems that support both analytics and artificial intelligence use cases while keeping performance, reliability, and usable insights front and center.

Data platform and analytics

• Architect, implement, and support high-volume batch and streaming pipelines using Kafka, Flink, and ETL tooling.
• Create and tune analytical data models for time-series data, financial measures, and trading operations.
• Set up and maintain analytics storage layers such as ClickHouse, MongoDB, BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalent systems, with attention to cost-efficient design.
• Develop pipelines that can be safely rerun, along with backfill and reconciliation mechanisms.
• Put in place strong observability for data accuracy, timeliness, and pipeline stability.

AI platform development

• Build and operate internal AI platforms used by multiple trading teams.
• Create vector search solutions with well-tuned HNSW indexing and hybrid retrieval approaches.
• Design measurement frameworks for retrieval performance, including Recall@K, MRR, nDCG, and RAG evaluation.
• Develop reusable AI utilities such as standard RAG workflows, prompt handling, and self-serve tools.
• Implement and support agent-based systems using modern frameworks such as LangGraph, A2A, and MCP, with strong emphasis on control and auditability.

Mandatory qualifications

• At least 5 years of production experience working with both Python and Java in performance-sensitive environments.
• Solid grounding in software engineering, including system architecture, data structures, algorithms, correctness, integrity, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on expertise with Linux, GitHub, and current CI/CD practices.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work comfortably with large, complex datasets in finance or trading settings.

Additional technical requirements

• Advanced SQL knowledge, including window functions, query optimization, and real-time synchronization, plus database design and infrastructure support.
• Experience with workflow and messaging orchestration tools such as Airflow, Jenkins, and AMPS.
• Ability to design and implement trading analytics metrics such as PnL, risk, balance checks, trade reconciliation, backfills, and performance improvements.
• Experience with time-series visualization tools such as Grafana, TradingView, and BI platforms.
• Production experience with Kafka, Flink, and event processing.

Preferred background

• Exposure to trading systems, quantitative finance, or financial technology.
• Understanding of market data and data subscriptions through REST APIs or WebSockets.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, DeFi, and related technologies.
