The institution values practical learning and industry-aligned training so that graduates are ready for the workplace, while also encouraging innovation, research, and a global outlook.Role OverviewPCTE Institute of Engineering & Technology is looking for an energetic Training & Placement Officer who has strong industry relationships and can help improve student employability and placement outcomes. The position is especially focused on students from Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and closely related branches. The right candidate will bring established connections in the IT sector and hands-on experience in campus hiring, internships, recruitment, or corporate engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, grow, and sustain meaningful partnerships with IT firms, startups, multinational companies, consulting organizations, and recruitment agencies.Source and secure internship and final placement opportunities for students.Manage campus hiring activities such as recruitment drives, pre-placement talks, assessments, and interview schedules.Work with industry partners to understand changing skill demands and current hiring patterns.Organize expert talks, workshops, hackathons, networking sessions, and other industry-facing events.Support students with career planning, CV preparation, interview readiness, and overall professional growth.Maintain placement data and prepare analytical reports for leadership.Coordinate with academic teams to align training and development initiatives with market needs.Broaden the recruiter network and improve employer engagement over time.Required QualificationsThe ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Human Resources, or a similar discipline, along with at least 3 years of experience in Training & Placement, corporate relations, talent acquisition, recruitment, or career services. A well-established network of recruiters, HR professionals, and hiring managers in the IT industry is essential. Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities are also required.Preferred BackgroundExperience with placements for Computer Science, IT, AI/ML, Data Science, Analytics, Cybersecurity, or similar areas will be an advantage. Exposure to campus hiring processes and internship coordination is also preferred.
