Role overview
Arnold Clark is seeking an energetic and driven Valeter to join its Motorstore in Stoke-on-Trent. The role focuses on presenting vehicles to a high visual standard while working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Working hours
This is a full-time position with the following schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

What you’ll do
In this position, you’ll help ensure both sold and stock vehicles are kept in pristine condition. The job involves a mix of exterior and interior cleaning, machine polishing, scheduling support, record keeping, and general branch assistance.
- Prepare sold and stock vehicles to a consistently high standard.
- Wash vehicle exteriors using a pressure washer.
- Vacuum and shampoo interiors using high-powered equipment.
- Use polishing and buffing machines to improve the finish of bodywork.
- Follow health and safety rules when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Keep equipment and machinery in good condition, secure, and used according to manufacturer guidance and PPE requirements.
- Work efficiently to deadlines and performance targets.
- Use an online diary system to organise the vehicle schedule.
- Maintain a daily log of completed work.
- Support the branch with other tasks as needed.
What you need
- A full UK driving licence.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-driven attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to handle several tasks at once.
- Willingness to take part in training.
Experience and training
Previous valet experience is an advantage but not required. Full training can be given to applicants who show strong enthusiasm and meet the other key requirements. All new valet employees will also attend Arnold Clark’s Valet Academy.
