Role overview
Gordon Wright Electric & Mechanical is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to support construction and service work from both the office and the field. The company has a long-standing history of nearly 100 years in electrical and mechanical construction and emphasizes a collaborative, supportive workplace where people are treated as valued team members.
This position is based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, with work split between the main location at 6255 Don Murie Street and local job sites. Company vehicles are supplied for travel to nearby sites.
The role is a full-time position with an annual salary of $65,000. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Project coordination
- Assist the Project Manager and management team with planning and delivery of construction and service assignments.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project records such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, commissioning reports, and similar documents.
- Create AutoCAD drawings, update redlines, manage the digital drawing archive, and print drawings for field crews.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and progress milestones.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and site teams to keep work moving smoothly.
- Arrange crew and subcontractor schedules.
Logistics and materials handling
- Check and confirm incoming deliveries.
- Sort, store, and organize materials in the shop and warehouse.
- Keep inventory records updated through electronic tracking tools.
- Share delivery status and any discrepancies with the relevant stakeholders.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites when required.
Shop and operations support
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe shop environment.
- Help track tools and equipment and update asset databases.
- Contribute to daily operational efficiency across teams.
Administrative support
- Support the front office with both physical and digital filing.
- Keep project and inventory information accurate and current.
- Assist with document control and data entry tasks.
- Work with the Health and Safety Manager on daily operational matters related to projects and the broader business.
