Role overview

BENNI. is hiring a junior Creative Content Assistant to join its Melbourne team. Working under the Marketing Coordinator, you will help bring the brand to life online by producing and editing short-form video, contributing to TikTok creative direction, and keeping daily content operations running smoothly.

This position is designed for someone earlier in their career, so extensive experience is not required. The main priorities are a strong interest in content creation, a sharp creative eye, and the motivation to learn and develop within the role.

The schedule is expected to be around 2 to 3 days per week at the start, and the company is open to discussing flexible working days with the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Track emerging trends, content styles, and viral hooks, then turn them into fresh ideas
• Assist in shaping creative direction for the TikTok channel
• Capture day-to-day video content featuring the team and workplace
• Edit short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels
• Enhance videos with captions, text, transitions, sound elements, and trending audio
• Draft product scripts, captions, hooks, and calls to action tailored to the audience
• Plan, schedule, and publish content across TikTok as part of the broader communications plan
• Adapt content for different formats and platforms to extend reach
• Maintain organised media folders, assets, and shared drives
• Support the marketing team with routine content-related tasks
• Manage community interactions by replying to comments and direct messages

Skills and tools

• Basic video editing experience, including personal work, university projects, or self-managed social accounts
• Good understanding of TikTok culture, formats, and trends
• Experience with editing tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or TikTok’s in-app editor
• Elementary design ability using Canva or a similar tool
• Strong organisation and dependable follow-through
• Attention to detail
• Comfort asking questions, sharing ideas, and contributing to a team
