Custodian (BTE)

Role Summary

Berkeley County School District is hiring a part-time Custodian (BTE) for work in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. This position follows an onsite schedule and is designed for candidates who can support school custodial operations on a recurring basis.

Work Schedule

The role requires 8 hours of work per day across 245 employment days each year.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $32,673 to $48,000.

Application Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or an equivalent credential; or
• At least 1 year of custodial experience verified on company letterhead and signed by a supervisor; or
• An equivalent mix of education and experience
• Negative TB test results completed within the last year. Applicants are strongly encouraged to upload the results with the application. If the test has not yet been completed, a word document must be uploaded confirming that the results will be provided once the test is finished. Any delay in submitting TB results will slow down onboarding if the candidate is selected.

Selection Process

Candidates chosen for interview will be informed within 3 weeks after the vacancy closes. The district asks applicants not to contact them for interview updates. Based on application volume, not every applicant may receive an interview, and candidates may be considered for more than one opening.
