The dispatcher is responsible for delivering strong customer service while keeping customers, drivers, and internal teams connected. Key duties

  • Deliver high-quality customer support across all business lines.
  • Handle service-related transactions such as new contracts, changes to service, billing questions, temporary orders, and additional service requests.
  • Enter customer information accurately into TRUX before service begins and keep records current throughout the customer relationship.
  • Address customer issues quickly and involve the right people when escalation is needed.
  • Send service instructions to drivers through two-way radio and in-cab tablets to support timely dispatching.
  • Assign calls and responsibilities proactively to improve route efficiency and manage time well.
  • Make sure all service calls are finished before drivers return to the shop.
  • Review and close daily run sheets, working with drivers to correct missed calls or poor sequencing.
  • Prepare next-day run sheets and distribute them as required.
  • Use internal systems to produce reports on heavy bins, route densification, and other operational measures.
  • Work with sales, operations supervisors, and administrative staff to support customer requests and market growth efforts.
  • Create monthly waste diversion reports for major accounts.
  • Record and share driver feedback related to customer needs.
  • Take part in special projects assigned by supervisors or the Operations Manager.
  • Complete purchasing requests and reconcile payments with accounts payable.
  • Process customer billing and invoices for different business lines.
  • Support the Office Administrator as the first point of contact and provide coverage when needed.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
