This opportunity is being handled for a partner organization that oversees applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The hiring company is seeking an Instructional Designer located in Canada.

You will be part of a purpose-led learning and development setting where your work helps create accessible, engaging, and scalable learning programs. Your focus will be on designing and building high-quality educational experiences for learners from varied backgrounds and professional settings. You will convert complex subject matter into clear, well-structured, and interactive training content using current instructional design methods and digital learning technologies. Working alongside subject matter experts and cross-functional partners, you will contribute to both e-learning and instructor-led learning solutions. The role combines creativity, analysis, and project coordination, with responsibility for managing several fast-moving initiatives at the same time. You will also use AI-powered tools to improve speed, innovation, and learning outcomes. Responsibilities

• Carry out learning needs analyses to uncover skill gaps and define specific, measurable objectives aligned with business priorities.
• Create engaging e-learning and instructor-led training assets using strong instructional design practices and the ADDIE framework.
• Work with subject matter experts to reshape existing material into interactive, accessible learning modules.
• Develop assessments and learning evaluations that reflect Bloom’s Taxonomy and the Kirkpatrick evaluation model.
• Produce training content with Articulate and other digital learning tools.
• Use AI-based tools to help with content development, storyboarding, scripting, and broader instructional design tasks.
• Coordinate multiple instructional design projects at once while maintaining deadlines and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to make sure learning content is accurate, engaging, and suited to learner needs.
• Review training impact and continuously refine solutions based on effectiveness data.
• Use LMS platforms such as UKG Pro or similar systems to deliver, monitor, and improve learning experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in instructional design and digital learning development.
• A strong portfolio showing e-learning and training materials created with Articulate or comparable tools.
• Solid understanding of ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and the Kirkpatrick evaluation model, with hands-on application.
• Experience designing both e-learning and blended or instructor-led learning solutions.
• Ability to use AI-assisted instructional design tools and workflows to improve efficiency and innovation.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle several priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when partnering with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex ideas into clear learning content.
• Experience with LMS platforms and digital learning ecosystems is considered an advantage.
