Role Purpose
This role is responsible for supporting the planning, survey work, and execution of water conservation and agricultural development projects under TSF initiatives. The position requires technical capability in land surveying, layout preparation, and GPS-based record keeping to support accurate construction and implementation of structures that strengthen sustainable agriculture and rural livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out participatory planning, identify suitable sites, and conduct technical surveys for soil and water conservation as well as agricultural projects.
- Support community mobilisation and institution formation, including water user groups, village committees, and watershed development committees.
- Oversee the execution and tracking of soil and water conservation structures such as field bunding, TCB, WAT, SCT, DCT, loose boulder structures, gabions, hybrid gabions, and earthen or masonry check dams.
- Prepare measurement books and BOQs to support billing and invoicing from business partners or samitis, and assist in the payment workflow for all activities.
- Maintain project records such as user agreements, land documents, layout drawings, measurement books, and GPS-based documentation for approvals and payments.
- Work closely with farmers and local communities to ensure implementation is accurate and aligned with project goals.
- Provide technical assistance and contribute to initiatives that improve sustainable agriculture and rural livelihoods.
