Job Purpose

The process operator is responsible for running process lines and equipment in a controlled, efficient manner. The goal is to meet production targets, improve line efficiency, reduce process waste, maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards, and raise food safety concerns promptly to management. The role also involves tracking material use, supporting energy reduction efforts, managing assigned process workers, and ensuring good manufacturing practices are followed throughout the area.

Key Accountabilities

The operator is expected to make practical decisions that support the best use of materials and help achieve maximum yield and conversion. The role includes maintaining and repairing processing equipment as needed to protect line efficiency, and stopping production in coordination with the laboratory technician if output is outside specification.

• Operate the line in a systematic and efficient way.
• Complete hourly process control checks and report the results.
• Hold quality wall meetings at the required intervals.
• Ensure raw materials are available close to the line before production starts.
• Keep equipment hygienic and in proper working order.
• Meet the efficiency targets defined by the business for the line.
• Work toward the material efficiency targets set by the business.
• Escalate day-to-day issues to direct managers without delay.
• Track material wastage, summarize daily usage, and calculate material efficiency.
• Raise equipment maintenance or repair requests to Engineering through MP2.
• Manage line workers, including break timing, cleaning during flavour changeovers, and time-in/time-out tracking.
• Carry out running patrols and checklist-based checks to keep the station in good condition.
• Report health hazards in the workplace to the immediate manager.
• Ensure products are made to the required quality standard at all times.
• Share daily issues and shift activities with the next shift.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation within the area.
• Support IPS audits and food safety audits.
• Use utilities such as water, gas and electricity efficiently.
• Take part in maintaining and improving the EHS management system in line with applicable laws, PepsiCo GEHSMS requirements and relevant EHS standards, with proper controls in place for all hazards and risks.

Qualifications and Skills

The role requires an industrial training institute (ITI) qualification. The candidate should have basic communication ability, a positive work attitude, and the capability to independently handle and operate process equipment.

A minimum of two years’ experience in a manufacturing or processing environment is required, although this may be waived for candidates with a tertiary educational background.

Additional Information

This position is based in the Riyadh Region and is a full-time, on-site role.
