Overview
PointClickCare is hiring a Product Manager for its Data Platform team. The role focuses on building dependable, scalable, and clearly defined data capabilities across the platform so that downstream products, analytics, and operational workflows can rely on high-quality data. You’ll work across complex data domains to improve how data is defined, cataloged, governed, and delivered.
PointClickCare is a private, founder-led health tech company with a mission to support care providers in delivering exceptional outcomes. Its platform supports more than 30,000 provider organizations and is backed by a large long-term and post-acute care dataset plus a marketplace of 400+ integrated partners. The company reinvests heavily in R&D and emphasizes innovation, AI-enabled work, and employee development.
Location and work arrangement
The position is listed for Mississauga-Hybrid / Canada-Remote. Remote hires should expect occasional travel for in-office events, including onboarding, team gatherings, and semi-annual or annual meetings, at the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices. Hybrid workers must live within commuting distance of the office and should expect recurring in-person team events, such as weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions. This is a required part of the role.
What you will do
You will own a portfolio of datasets and platform capabilities, making prioritization decisions based on customer value and business impact. The role involves working closely with engineering, analytics, and product partners to operationalize datasets and ensure they move through transformation stages into trusted, usable data layers.
You’ll translate business and domain requirements into clear data definitions, schemas, and product requirements, while continuously discovering how data sources are used and transformed across the platform. A key part of the job is to define and track data health, adoption, and usability measures and use those insights to guide roadmap decisions.
Additional responsibilities
- Manage the roadmap and backlog for your area of the platform.
- Partner with domain experts and engineers to understand sources, transformations, and downstream usage patterns.
- Help create and maintain data catalogs so datasets remain well documented and easy to understand.
- Evaluate incoming requests and investment opportunities with structured prioritization.
- Influence multiple product teams to align on consistent, cross-platform data practices even without direct authority.
- Support ongoing dataset operations, including health checks, usage questions, and incremental improvements.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of product management experience, including work with B2B or enterprise customers.
- Experience owning software or platform products through the complete development lifecycle.
- Background working with data platforms, analytics products, or data pipelines.
- Strong grasp of data modeling, schema creation, and data transformation concepts.
- Exposure to Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or similar cloud-based data environments.
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python is preferred.
- Experience with data governance, cataloging, and cross-domain data definition.
- Ability to align engineering, data, and product stakeholders without formal reporting authority.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder data ecosystems.
