Role Overview
This position is responsible for managing the organization’s quality management system and ensuring it remains aligned with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements. The role involves driving audit readiness, resolving customer quality issues, strengthening process control, and supporting continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, sustain, and continuously upgrade the QMS in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and support internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Address customer complaints, warranty concerns, and corrective actions using 8D and CAPA methods.
- Develop, maintain, and control quality documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and records.
- Track and analyze quality metrics including rejection rates, PPM, customer complaints, and process capability.
- Apply automotive quality tools and methods such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.
- Perform process audits and product audits to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and supplier teams to improve quality performance.
- Verify inspection criteria for springs, wire-form parts, and automotive components.
- Manage calibration activities and control measuring equipment and instruments.
- Train team members on quality procedures, systems, and related practices.
Preferred Background
The ideal candidate should have an engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering, along with relevant experience in automotive component manufacturing. Exposure to springs, wire components, stamping, machining, or similar manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
Technical Knowledge Expected
The role calls for a strong understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, 7 QC Tools, 8D problem-solving, and core automotive quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
