Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-driven Quantity Surveyor to join a construction team in Dubai. The role calls for practical experience across both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying for residential and commercial building projects. You will handle estimating, tender support, contract administration, cost monitoring, valuations, and project cost reporting to help keep delivery within budget and aligned with contract terms.

Pre-Contract Work

• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Support budgeting, cost planning, and early-stage cost estimates.
• Examine tender packs, drawings, and specification documents.
• Build commercial submissions and tender pricing documents.
• Complete rate build-ups and compare costs across options.

Post-Contract Work

• Oversee contracts in line with project needs and obligations.
• Prepare and assess interim payment applications.
• Measure finished work and produce valuation statements.
• Handle variations, claims, and change instruction processes.
• Monitor project budgets and flag possible cost overruns early.
• Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts.

Requirements

• At least 3 to 4 years of Quantity Surveying experience in Dubai.
• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Background in residential as well as commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques and building materials.
• Ability to use tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, Primavera, Planswift, or comparable software.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC contract forms.
• Awareness of RICS standards and practices.

Compensation

The offered salary is AED 10,000 to AED 12,000 per month.
