Role overview

In this position, you will lead the shift team and keep restaurant operations running smoothly throughout the day. You will be a practical, people-focused leader who supports, coaches and encourages the crew while upholding strong standards in food quality, customer service, safety and cleanliness. The role suits someone confident in a fast-paced setting who enjoys improving results through team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and organise the team during your shift
• Observe team performance and provide coaching, support and feedback
• Make sure food, service and safety expectations are consistently achieved
• Respond to customer questions and handle concerns in a professional way
• Assist with store opening and closing duties when needed
• Track stock levels and help with basic inventory management
• Support cash handling, POS tasks and simple reconciliations
• Follow food safety, WHS and company procedures
• Keep management informed about how the shift is performing

Experience and skills required

• Prior supervisory experience in hospitality, quick service restaurants or retail
• Strong ability to lead, communicate clearly and solve problems
• Capability to train, coach and motivate team members
• Good understanding of food safety, customer service and day-to-day operating standards
• Comfort working under pressure and managing competing priorities
