Sr. Data & Reporting Analyst

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst based in Santa Ana, California. The assignment runs for one year with a possibility of being extended. The role is fully onsite and focuses on data mining, extraction, manipulation, analysis, and reporting to support warehouse and transportation operations.

The position centers on producing accurate, timely KPI reporting across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles. The analyst will help guide operational priorities through reporting, support critical cost analysis, and communicate findings clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. Strong organization, follow-through, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources for business and operational reporting.
• Prepare recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports on warehouse operational metrics and key performance indicators.
• Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to support business decisions and recommend actions based on findings.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
• Create both standard and ad hoc reports tailored to different audiences and levels of detail.
• Work with employees across functions to verify data and resolve inconsistencies.
• Support analysis of logistics, warehouse, and transportation-related costs.
• Provide briefings and updates to keep operations aligned with the same information.
• Develop models that assist decision-making and planning.

Required experience and education

• At least 3 years of experience in reporting and data analysis in logistics, distribution center, warehouse, and/or supply chain environments.
• Prior experience with cost analysis and KPI reporting.
• Background working in a logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations setting.
• Hands-on experience using SAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results consistently.

This is a task-oriented position that requires consistency, precision, and follow-through. The work includes periodic or cyclical pressure, time-sensitive tasks, constant technical data feedback, intellectual challenge, and possible language barriers. Collaboration across many teams is part of the role, and strong written and verbal communication is critical to success.

Pay for this role is $55 to $60 per hour.
