The group’s stated mission is to improve the quality of life of communities worldwide by creating long-term stakeholder value built on trust-based leadership.Job SummaryThe Tooling Technician will be responsible for building, assembling, maintaining, and repairing tools, dies, moulds, jigs, and fixtures used in production. This role calls for practical experience in tool room work along with a strong focus on precision and accuracy.ResponsibilitiesBuild, assemble, and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and moulds in line with engineering drawings.Review and work from technical drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements.Use conventional workshop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drilling machines.Assist with tool trials, design changes, and ongoing improvement initiatives.Perform preventive maintenance tasks to support tool life and consistent performance.Identify and resolve tooling issues that arise during production.Adhere to safety practices and maintain 5S discipline within the tool room.Keep tool-related documents, logs, and records up to date.RequirementsPractical understanding of tooling processes and materials.Ability to interpret 2D drawings and basic GD&T.Hands-on familiarity with measuring instruments used in tool rooms.Careful attention to detail along with solid troubleshooting ability.Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Diploma in Tool & Die Making or Mechanical Engineering.2 to 3 years of experience in a tooling or manufacturing setting.Additional InformationThis position is based onsite in Mayang, Assam, India. The role is a full-time opportunity.
