Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Video Editor position is based in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. The selected candidate will shape video content that supports the company’s storytelling goals, including interviews, narrative-led pieces, and promotional material. The role involves working closely with writers, creative leads, and other colleagues to turn scripts and concepts into polished visual stories that stay aligned with editorial and brand direction.

Key Work Areas

• Assemble and edit video footage into finished content that strengthens authentic storytelling.
• Review, sort, and organize raw footage to prepare for the editing process.
• Trim and refine sequences to improve flow, clarity, and narrative impact.
• Add transitions, motion elements, and static graphic assets where needed.
• Apply color grading to keep the visual style consistent and support the intended mood.
• Prepare final video exports in formats suited for different platforms and delivery needs.
• Maintain orderly project files and manage assets efficiently throughout production.
• Work within production schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned edits.

Qualifications and Experience

The role calls for strong practical experience in video production and editing, from handling footage at the concept stage through to delivering a final cut. Applicants should be comfortable with color correction and grading, motion graphics, and the use of supporting graphics to reinforce brand identity and storytelling. Experience with professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and motion design software like After Effects is expected. A good grasp of basic sound design, aspect ratios, file types, and export settings for digital and social media distribution is also important.

Working Style

The ideal candidate brings strong narrative judgment, close attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a creative environment focused on mission-driven work. The job also requires the capacity to handle several projects at once, stay on schedule, and respond constructively to feedback in a fast-moving production setting.

Education

A background in film, media production, or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
