Role Overview
The Yard Associate role is centered on organizing equipment on site, keeping track of its condition, and helping ensure items meet required standards before and after rentals. The position also involves maintaining maintenance records and completing service tasks when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Move and position equipment around the location as needed.
- Retrieve equipment from the yard and prepare it for use or return.
- Keep a written maintenance schedule up to date.
- Perform basic service or upkeep on equipment when required.
- Inspect equipment before and after rental periods.
- Record any missing, lost, or damaged items.
Qualifications
Applicants are preferred to have a high school diploma or GED. Prior exposure to common construction or industrial tools is an advantage, and experience or training in mechanical repairs is also preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Clear communication with customers, both verbal and written
- Basic arithmetic capability
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to safety
Physical Requirements
This work can involve bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. The job may also require working both indoors and outdoors depending on operational needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The posted base pay range is 21.23 to 29.18 per hour. Actual starting pay may differ based on the role, work location, education, training, and experience.
