DoorDash is expanding its New Zealand business and is seeking motivated talent with strong local market understanding to support consumers, Dashers, and merchants. The team is focused on helping strengthen local economies in New Zealand and beyond.
About the role
This opportunity is for an Account Manager to join the New Verticals Partnerships team, supporting the strategy and execution for partnerships across convenience, retail, and grocery. Because of the size and importance of the partners involved, this role plays a key part in DoorDash’s growth in New Zealand. You will contribute to partner growth plans, quality improvements, and data-driven insights.
What you'll do
- Work closely with New Vertical partners to increase sales, raise quality standards, and provide actionable data insights.
- Act as the main point of coordination between partners and internal DoorDash teams, especially growth, merchandising, marketing, and operations.
- Drive partnership growth initiatives across convenience, retail, and grocery accounts, including both large-scale programs and targeted tactical campaigns.
- Manage partner-specific requirements such as POS integrations, tailored reporting, catalogue improvements, merchant marketing, and operational enhancements.
- Develop strong direct relationships across key stakeholder groups within each partner organization to ensure needs are addressed at every level.
- Report to the Enterprise Partnerships Manager, New Zealand.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate has around 4 years of experience in account management, management consulting, project management, client success, and/or sales management. Experience working with data, especially SQL, is important, along with solid project management ability. You should enjoy building long-term client relationships, communicate clearly, work well with others, and be able to turn broad business problems into concrete plans with specific goals.
