Architectural Designer 2

Job Summary

This full-time position supports architectural projects across the full design lifecycle, including client-facing presentations and coordination with the construction team. The work is performed with direct oversight. A bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years of experience are required.

Reporting Line

The role reports to the Team Project Manager and/or Project Architect.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the architectural design workflow, from schematic design and design development for clients through to construction documents and coordination for review by authorities and construction teams.
• Provide support with administrative and organizational tasks.
• Prepare or help prepare presentation graphics and document visuals.
• Build 3D Revit models in line with the firm’s production standards.
• Develop project details that align with the design intent and help maintain overall project quality.
• Work with the Project Manager and project team to meet quality control expectations.
• Implement technical guidance and redlines from the Project Manager, Architect 1/2, or Architectural Staff 1/2 to update drawings.
• Apply working knowledge of zoning rules, building codes, accessibility requirements, and core building components.
• Keep project records organized, including meeting notes, project scope information, and other communications.
• Support the preparation and coordination of construction documents.
• Carry out additional related duties as needed.

• Ability to stay effective in a busy environment and adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Appreciation for project schedules and budgets as directed by project leadership.
• Good graphic thinking and visual communication skills for presenting design ideas.
• Advanced working knowledge of Revit, including the ability to share internal standards with others.
• Exposure to Enscape and/or Lumion is preferred.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

The role may involve extended periods of sitting or standing while working at a desk and computer. Occasional lifting of items up to 15 pounds is required.
