Role overview
L'Arche Ireland is seeking a part-time Care Assistant in Callan, County Kilkenny. This post is for 25 hours per week and focuses on supporting adults in everyday health and social care needs, with an emphasis on respectful, person-centred support.
What the role involves
You will work closely with the people supported, helping them with daily life in ways that reflect their wishes, needs, and preferences, and in accordance with agreed care plans. The role calls for warm, dependable relationships and professional standards in how support is delivered.
Working pattern
Flexibility is essential for this position. Working hours may include early mornings, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends.
Required qualification
A minimum of FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare is required.
Additional conditions
The role includes a six-month probation period and is subject to Garda Vetting. Only applicants who currently live in and are approved to work in Southern Ireland can be considered.
