Role Overview

This opportunity is suited to an imaginative illustrator who enjoys turning stories into visuals for children. The project centers on creating artwork for a children's book, so the illustrator should be able to translate themes, scenes, and characters into engaging, child-friendly imagery. Responsibilities

• Produce original illustrations that match the story’s mood, message, and pacing.
• Build character visuals and concept art from the supplied story outline.
• Work in coordination with the author so the artwork supports the written content.
• Provide polished, print-ready files in the formats and resolutions requested.
• Adjust artwork based on review comments until the visual direction is aligned.
• Plan and track your work to meet illustration deadlines on schedule.

Skills and Requirements

• Background in illustrating children's books or comparable storytelling projects.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating narrative-led, age-appropriate artwork.
• Comfort with digital illustration software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate.
• Ability to take written material and convert it into visuals for young audiences.
