Job Summary
The Demand Planner will own the monthly forecasting and order-planning cycle, working across sales, business leadership, warehouses, logistics, and principals to maintain supply continuity, inventory discipline, and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the monthly demand forecast cycle by studying past sales and factoring in pricing, discounts, promotions, and activation impacts.
- Develop a shared demand forecast in collaboration with business leaders.
- Manage monthly order planning using the approved forecast, goods in transit, open orders, and stock targets.
- Track goods in transit and pending shipments from principals.
- Take an active role in S&OP discussions with principals and help ensure the monthly supply plan is delivered.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse stock replenishment and work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to manage stock movements in line with plan.
- Keep SKU-level inventory within approved norms.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS/KPI reports.
- Coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders and maintain clear communication across functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or data analysis.
- Experience should include exposure to sales or to warehousing and logistics.
- MBA qualification will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills are needed.
