Role overview
Emirates is hiring Direct Entry Captains to join its expanding flight operations team in Dubai. The role is aimed at technically strong and highly driven pilots who can deliver a high standard of performance. Candidates must be eligible for either the A350 or A380 Captain track and meet the stated flying-time and qualification standards.
Compensation and benefits
- The role offers a tax-free annual total compensation package of up to AED 1,185,000 (USD 320,000).
- Annual take-home cash is AED 575,000 (USD 155,000), made up of basic pay and flying pay.
- Average monthly take-home cash is AED 48,000 (USD 13,000), calculated on 85 flying hours per month.
- Accommodation is provided by the company, including utilities.
- Education support is available at AED 52,250 for primary school and AED 79,750 for secondary school, for up to 3 children.
- Annual leave includes 42 calendar days.
- Confirmed annual leave tickets are provided for the employee and dependents in Business Class, with the option to upgrade to First Class.
- Employees get access to an Emirates Platinum card with retail, leisure, and service discounts.
- Concessional travel benefits are available for the employee and eligible dependents across all cabin classes.
- The company provides a provident/pension contribution.
- Medical, life, and accident insurance are included, along with loss of medical license insurance.
- There is eligibility for an annual profit share, subject to company performance.
Qualification requirements
- You need at least 7,000 total flying hours in multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft.
- Only operating-seat time in turboprop and/or turbojet aircraft is counted; simulator time is not included.
- For Airbus Captain eligibility, you must have at least 150 hours in the last 12 months on Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft as Captain.
- A valid ICAO ATPL and a matching Authority Class 1 Medical are required.
- ICAO English proficiency must be Level 5 or higher.
- For the A380 track, you must have at least 3,000 hours PIC on Airbus fly-by-wire wide-body aircraft such as A330, A340, A350, or A380, and you must currently be flying Airbus fly-by-wire wide-body aircraft as Captain.
- For the A350 track, you must have at least 3,000 hours PIC on any Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft such as A320, A330, A340, A350, or A380, and you must currently be flying Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft as Captain.
- Airbus fly-by-wire does not include the A220.
