Job Overview
We are looking for a professional Distribution Driver to join our team in Naas, County Kildare. The primary responsibility is to safely transport and deliver cargo while adhering to customer requirements and legal standards. This role involves meticulous attention to detail in inspecting goods, completing documentation, and ensuring vehicle compliance. You will maintain high service standards, update systems in real-time, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Flexibility in working hours is essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely load, transfer, and unload cargo without causing damage.
- Inspect cargo condition and complete all necessary paperwork or app reports, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and suitability for cargo.
- Follow all administrative procedures and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, including IMDG/ADR requirements where applicable.
- Ensure full compliance with legislation for all cargo types, including hazardous goods.
- Promptly report any vehicle faults and ensure they are rectified before use.
- Operate vehicles safely, legally, and responsibly, maintaining tachograph and driver documentation.
- Uphold high standards of security, quality, and cleanliness in the work environment.
- Update all collection and delivery information in internal systems and report any deviations to the operations team.
Requirements
- A valid C Licence is essential.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- ADR certification is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines.
