About the Role
Join an established Indigenous-owned contractor in civil construction and mining that is seeing strong year-on-year expansion throughout Western Australia. This role offers the chance for an experienced Estimator to help build estimating capability, lift project outcomes, and support the successful delivery of civil and mining work.
Based in Perth CBD, this full-time position involves working with senior leaders across Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Business Development to shape tender outcomes, improve delivery performance, and support ongoing business improvement in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build precise cost estimates for a range of civil construction and mining tenders.
- Create pricing that remains competitive while safeguarding project profitability.
- Review project performance information to strengthen the accuracy of future estimates.
- Assist with commercial reporting and project cost management.
- Evaluate production outputs, plant use, and delivery methods across projects.
- Work with Operations, Business Development, and Commercial teams to help develop effective tender strategies.
- Support the ongoing refinement of estimating tools, systems, and workflows.
About You
You should bring hands-on estimating experience in civil construction, mining, or earthworks, together with solid commercial judgement and a practical, solution-focused mindset.
- Background preparing estimates for civil construction, mining, and/or earthworks projects.
- Strong grasp of production rates, project costing, and commercial fundamentals.
- Highly organised, with the ability to handle several tenders at once.
- Capability to estimate work and support cost control after award.
- Clear communication and strong engagement with stakeholders.
- Team-oriented approach and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience
- Formal study in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Exposure to remote civil or mining projects.
- Experience with Aboriginal-owned businesses or First Nations communities.
- Use of estimating platforms such as Expert Estimation, Benchmark, Candy, or similar tools.
