Role overview
Hammond Square is looking for a strong, hands-on Executive Director to lead the community and drive performance across all areas of the operation. This position calls for a confident leader who can build a positive team culture, maintain high standards of resident care, and keep the business financially sound.
The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills, a commitment to resident well-being, and the ability to create an environment where employees can grow and perform at their best.

Key responsibilities
- Create a welcoming, open-door environment that supports positive relationships with residents, families, friends, and staff.
- Lead with clear communication, set the tone by example, and pay close attention to resident care and overall well-being.
- Establish quality standards and strengthen healthy, positive relationships with family members.
- Manage all major operational areas, including care services, dining, and facility operations, while keeping performance aligned with Navion's standards.
- Recruit, train, guide, and oversee a high-performing team.
- Take ownership of community finances and ensure compliance with required regulations.
- Direct sales and marketing efforts to support occupancy growth and revenue goals.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in serving older adults.
- A current Administrator license in the relevant state.
- Experience as an Executive Director or Administrator is preferred.
- Prior people-management experience leading at least 10 employees, including hiring, coaching, performance management, day-to-day supervision, and disciplinary actions when needed.
- Proven ability to manage annual operating expenses of at least $1 million.
- Sales or business development background is preferred, especially in building local relationships, supporting business growth, pricing products effectively, and maximizing revenue.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead small-group presentations.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning new software applications.
