Role summary
The Finance Coordinator position is a full-time role based in Toronto, Ontario, with a hybrid work setup that includes some work from home. In this role, you will assist with core accounting operations, support the close process, maintain accurate financial records, and help produce reports and dashboards for both internal teams and clients. You will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, metric tracking, compliance, and process improvements.
Key responsibilities
You will work closely with finance leaders and cross-functional partners to keep day-to-day financial operations running smoothly. This includes handling invoices, supporting payables and receivables, reconciling accounts and bank statements, and assisting with month-end and year-end close activities. You will also help prepare schedules, monitor financial data, support management reporting, respond to questions, and improve the efficiency and accuracy of finance processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a solid background in finance and accounting, along with hands-on exposure to daily financial operations. You should be comfortable working with financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. A post-secondary background in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a similar discipline is expected, and progress toward a professional designation such as CPA is considered an advantage. Experience using spreadsheets and accounting or ERP systems is important, and familiarity with cloud-based or AI-enabled tools is a plus.

Strong organization, close attention to detail, and effective time management are essential in this fast-moving environment. You should be able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Clear written and verbal communication is also important, along with a professional approach and the ability to collaborate well with both internal stakeholders and clients.
