Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will play an important role within the Finance function, supporting accurate and insightful reporting for North America to global headquarters, internal teams, and auditors. The position centers on retail operating expense allocation, analysis, forecasting, and period-end close activities, with an emphasis on producing reliable financial data and practical business insights for leadership and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine month-end accruals and expense reclassifications to confirm they are accurate, complete, and properly supported.
  • Work closely with accounting and record-to-report teams to validate postings and keep them aligned with finance policies and deadlines.
  • Refresh monthly reporting packs for budget owners, including variance analysis comparing actual results with budget and forecast.
  • Advise budget owners on managing spend and partner with them to track and control costs.
  • Review and authorize invoices within assigned expense categories, ensuring proper coding and allocation.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by preparing supporting data and sample documentation.
  • Build and upkeep forecasting models for retail expenses and related balance sheet accounts.
  • Track year-to-date results and spending patterns against targets and projections.
  • Act as a finance partner to the retail network and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain rolling forecast models at the cost center, account, and expense line level.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for store-related expenses.
  • Provide analytical support to cost center owners so they can make informed decisions.
  • Interpret financial information and share timely recommendations with management.
  • Help strengthen internal controls, finance processes, and governance practices.
  • Carry out additional financial analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, or cost management.
  • Prior exposure to SAP and HFM is preferred.
  • Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with solid analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to support demanding periods such as month-end and forecasting cycles.
