General Labourer - Part-Time

Overview

AGAT Laboratories is looking for a part-time General Labourer to support its Environmental logistics team in Calgary, Alberta. The role runs Friday through Sunday during daytime hours and is suited to someone who wants to build experience in a warehouse and logistics setting while learning from the Logistics Supervisor and the broader team.

In this position, you will help with the movement and handling of samples, shipping and receiving tasks, and a range of general warehouse duties. The work is hands-on, team-oriented, and focused on safety, accuracy, and maintaining organized workspaces.

Key Duties

• Handle packages, cylinders, and samples in the warehouse/logistics area and make sure they are stored correctly.
• Follow all safety rules, standard operating procedures, and safe work practices at all times.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly, including washing and maintaining lab equipment.
• Carry out quality checks when needed.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Completion of high school is required.
• Some prior experience in general labour, warehouse work, or a lab environment is preferred.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 20 kg / 50 lbs.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage several tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and careful attention to detail are important.
• A dependable work style, maturity, and the ability to work both with a team and on your own are expected.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes or boots.
