Role Overview
The company is seeking a Graphic Designer with practical experience in packaging and product-focused design. This role is centered on building visual materials that support the product range and maintain a consistent brand image across packaging, labels, inserts, and other product collateral.
Key Responsibilities
- Create packaging, hangtags, labels, and inserts for soft home textile items such as curtains, bedding, throws, and pillows.
- Work closely with product development and merchandising teams to ensure designs meet brand guidelines and retail expectations.
- Develop print-ready artwork and follow the artwork submission and approval process with vendors.
- Build and update brand style guides as well as reusable design templates.
- Generate seasonal packaging ideas and product presentation updates that reflect current market trends.
- Handle several projects at once while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant holds an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a closely related discipline and brings at least 3 years of graphic design experience, specifically in packaging and product design. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, print production, dielines, and packaging specifications is essential. Experience coordinating with overseas manufacturers and preparing files to their requirements is also important. The role calls for sharp attention to detail, accurate color handling, good typography skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt work based on feedback. A portfolio must be submitted.
