Responsibilities
- Produce original illustrations that reflect the story’s mood, themes, and narrative flow
- Create character artwork and visual ideas from the supplied story outline
- Work with the author to make sure the images support and enhance the text
- Provide polished, print-ready files in the required specifications and file types
- Update and refine artwork after review to match the intended style
- Keep the project on schedule and deliver all illustrations within agreed timelines
Skills and Requirements
- Background in children’s book illustration or a closely related creative project
- A strong portfolio showing story-led, child-appropriate artwork
- Comfort using digital illustration software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate
