Interior Designer

Role overview

Anthem Properties Group Ltd. is expanding its Alberta house building team and is hiring two Interior Designers in Calgary. This role is suited to someone who can create a positive homeowner experience, works confidently under pressure, communicates openly, and brings a strong creative perspective with an interest in innovation.

What you will do

• Lead showhome selection activities for Calgary and Edmonton.
• Choose interior finishes while staying current with evolving design trends and material options.
• Select furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, window treatments, and accessories that align with the intended look and function of each space.
• Prepare furniture plans and mood boards to communicate the design direction visually.
• Ensure selections stay within project requirements and budget limits.
• Support warehouse operations, furniture handling, and coordination tasks.
• Visit project sites as needed.
• Stage completed showhomes and carry out final walkthroughs.
• Oversee design studio selections.
• Help source, refresh, and refine design palettes so they continue to evolve with the market.
• Coordinate selections for spec homes.
• Choose interior and exterior finishes for Anthem spec home products.
• Arrange interior selection appointments with homeowners.
• Review and submit homeowner interior selections and optional upgrades.
• Review and submit change orders related to interior selections.
• Maintain records of homeowner selection data and market trends.
• Keep homeowners informed through timely, clear, and proactive communication.
• Work closely with Sales, Liaison, Estimating, Drafting, Construction, and Warranty teams on sales processes, design selections, construction details, and timelines.
• Serve as a trusted advisor who handles homeowner concerns and difficult conversations with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.

What we are looking for

• A diploma or degree in Interior Design from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in homeowner service.
• Residential construction experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational ability and exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain respectful interactions.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
