Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant position based in Dubai. The role focuses on routine accounting work such as maintaining accurate financial records, handling invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting payroll activities. It also includes helping prepare financial statements, contributing to audit work, and ensuring adherence to applicable financial rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and keep financial data organized and accurate.
- Process invoices and support the accounts payable and receivable workflow as needed.
- Reconcile accounts and investigate mismatches or discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll-related tasks and related accounting support.
- Help prepare financial reports and summaries.
- Support audit activities and documentation.
- Follow financial policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting work.
Required Qualifications
- Practical exposure to bookkeeping, record keeping, and invoice handling.
- Good working knowledge of account reconciliation.
- Ability to prepare financial reports, assist with audits, and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
- Strong analytical ability with close attention to detail.
- Comfort using accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Clear communication and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both on your own and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector will be considered an advantage.
