Role Summary
This contract opportunity is for a remote Law Clerk supporting a client working across commercial real estate and energy matters. The position focuses on assisting legal teams with document drafting, review, research, and transaction support while ensuring work aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Position Details
- Work mode: Remote, with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
- Engagement type: Contract.
- Compensation: $40 to $55 per hour.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare, revise, and review commercial real estate and energy-related contracts, leases, and other transactional papers.
- Carry out legal research on topics related to real estate and energy law, including regulatory obligations and transaction diligence.
- Support the handling and tracking of transaction documents to make sure records remain accurate and legally sound.
- Work alongside attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to keep deal processes moving efficiently.
- Organize and maintain legal files, correspondence, and transaction records for current and future matters.
What’s Needed
- A Juris Doctor degree, or current enrollment in an accredited law school with at least two years completed.
- Previous experience in a law clerk, legal assistant, or comparable role is preferred, especially in commercial real estate or energy.
- Strong ability to draft and review legal documents such as contracts and lease agreements.
- Comfort using legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar resources.
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail, particularly for document control and compliance tracking.
