Role overview
We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to support international shipping operations in Düsseldorf. The role focuses on coordinating export logistics, managing freight and warehouse-related costs, maintaining system data, and working closely with internal teams and external providers to keep deliveries running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics resources based on sales order needs, assign the appropriate freight forwarders, and select the right sea, air, or rail export routes. Arrange cargo bookings and prepare the customs documentation required for export on time.
- Use CRM and SAP systems to keep the shipping workflow moving smoothly and take ownership of on-time dispatch performance.
- Track, calculate, and reconcile costs across international logistics stages as well as overseas warehousing charges. Manage third-party logistics vendors and work continuously to improve logistics cost efficiency.
- Work with the finance team to verify shipment data and organize records so that system data matches physical shipments and accounting records.
- Take part in defining and improving international logistics operating processes, and maintain/process data within the logistics module of the system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; majors such as International Economics and Trade, English, or Business English are preferred.
- Native-level Mandarin and strong spoken English skills, with the ability to handle everyday business discussions with customers and communicate effectively through English emails.
- Solid understanding of international trade procedures and trade terms, along with broad hands-on experience in import/export logistics across sea, land, air, and rail.
- Knowledge of hazardous goods handling and transportation is required; experience with large international logistics projects in Europe or the United States is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork mindset, good cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Experience with Amazon-related logistics or DTC logistics is preferred.
