Role overview
The Master Scheduler will own and improve the integrated production planning process for CPS Conco, ensuring that demand, supply, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity are aligned. This position also drives the Master Production Schedule (MPS), supports the monthly plant Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, delivers performance reporting, and contributes to supply chain execution, planning analytics, and continuous improvement.
Master production planning and scheduling
- Create, maintain, and control the Master Production Schedule so that demand, capacity, material availability, and inventory are all balanced.
- Refine production sequencing to support finite-capacity planning, better schedule adherence, and stronger line utilization.
- Adjust schedules when forecast changes, supply disruptions, or operational limitations require it.
Sales & Operations Planning leadership
- Own the monthly S&OP process and lead cross-functional planning discussions.
- Prepare supply scenarios and executive-level recommendations that balance customer service, cost, and plant capacity.
End-to-end supply chain coordination
- Partner with Materials Operations, Logistics, Customer Management, and Production teams to improve planning outcomes.
- Work across functions to reduce supply exposure and ease capacity bottlenecks.
Production planning optimization
- Improve planning parameters, review inventory settings, and identify opportunities to increase throughput.
- Maintain all SAP master data related to planning parameters and materials.
Planning analytics and business intelligence
- Build dashboards in SAP, IBP, and Power BI.
- Provide KPI reporting, scenario analysis, and insights for leadership decision-making.
Continuous improvement
- Drive automation and standardization efforts that strengthen planning excellence.
- Develop business cases and conduct root cause analysis to support ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in production planning or master scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
- Background in leading S&OP processes and working with SAP ERP, SAP IBP/APO, or a similar platform.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP (PP/MM), SAP IBP/APO, advanced Excel, Power BI, supply chain analytics, programming tools such as Python or R, inventory optimization, capacity planning, and lean manufacturing.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and continuous improvement capabilities.
