Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Harare supports the daily movement and handling of logistics and fulfillment operations. The Operations Assistant helps manage incoming and outgoing shipments, keeps order and delivery information up to date, and ensures parcels are handled correctly and delivered on schedule.
Key Duties
- Assist with the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate records for orders, deliveries, and operational activity.
- Support inventory monitoring and stock tracking tasks.
- Provide assistance with route planning and delivery coordination.
- Prepare daily operational updates and basic reports.
- Respond to routine customer questions about deliveries in a professional manner.
- Work closely with drivers and warehouse staff to keep operations running smoothly.
- Raise operational concerns or exceptions to management when necessary.
Required Profile
- Good grounding in operations or operations management, with the ability to contribute to everyday logistics and fulfillment work.
- Strong analytical ability, including accurate data entry, simple reporting, and practical problem-solving in a busy environment.
- Clear communication and customer service skills for dealing with clients, drivers, and internal colleagues.
- Basic computer literacy, including spreadsheets and logistics or inventory tracking tools, with willingness to learn new systems.
- Well organized, dependable, and able to manage time effectively while paying close attention to detail.
- Comfortable following company procedures and safety standards consistently.
- Experience in logistics, courier operations, warehousing, or similar roles is an added advantage, though not always essential.
- Post-secondary study or vocational training in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related area is helpful.
